Arts Therapist

As a creative arts therapist, Donna is passionate about the arts as an innovative, effective and credible mode of healing. Donna has worked with people of all ages but has a special interest in working with young people, people with disability and women who have experience IPV. Donna currently offers home visits and has availability to take on new clients in 2026.

Donna’s toolkit includes mindfulness, somatic work, emotional and cognitive regulation, nervous system awareness, and strengths-based approaches, all held within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship for exploring inner work. Donna enjoys working across a wide range of creative arts modalities, including painting, drawing, sculpture, sensory materials, textiles, poetry, movement, sound, sand, and play.

What is arts therapy?

​Arts Therapy is an allied health profession that uses masters qualified arts therapist to facilitate change and growth within a safe therapeutic alliance. Please note that arts therapy is not an art class. Arts therapists are trained to plan interventions that map to participants goals. The use of creative modalities to support expression, self-awareness, regulation and growth is well evidenced.
